Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian born actress. She won the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She speaks fluently French, German English, and Romanian. Her mother played the violin, Her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's best theater schools. In the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors, she was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2000. She was selected as the first European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. She was a teacher in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu, Iasi for four years. bAnamaria Marineca is a Romanian film actress born on 1st April 1978 in Iasi Romania. As an actress with Romanian descendance, Anamaria Marinca made her debut in film with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Her performance in Romanian art-film 4 Months, 3 Weeks as well as 2 Days is remembered as well. It was a huge success and won numerous awards such as the European Film Award Best Actress for London Film Critics. In 2007, she was a part of in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 days) directed by Cristian Mungiu. The film won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a major part of her work. In 2008, she appeared as Yasim in Angwar, the BBC Five-episode Miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in The Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. She played Irma on Fury 2014, in which she played an German name aunt of Emma.
