
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the top division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional there and was integral in helping the team win the league championship. Morgan was 22, at the time was the youngest athlete on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, which the team finished second. At the 2012 London Olympics, she scored the game-winning goal in the 123rd minute in the semi-final clash against Canada. The 2012 season ended with 28 goalsand 21 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman who scored both 20 and 20 goals. She was the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to score 20 goals in a single season. The following year, she was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete Of The Year and was also a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan contributed to helping to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was also included in the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
